SER Archive customers can choose from a whole range of commercial storage technologies and switch from one storage medium to another. The virtual media concept makes it easy to copy the archived data without the need for migration – a prerequisite for Information Lifecycle Management.
With DOXiS Archive, organisations can put in place an efficient Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) system – a concept consisting of processes and technologies that actively manages an organisation’s information throughout its lifecycle in accordance with its value. Using rules that prioritise documents and business processes and take account of cost considerations and legal regulations, the information is automatically saved and held on the most appropriate storage medium.
DOXiS Archive offers the possibility of connecting a wide range of different storage sub-systems, e.g.:
